Our Journey Abroad...so far!

Well so much for posting a blog every week! It’s been just over 1 month that we have been travelling through Italy and although we are doing most of our posts on Instagram and Facebook, I’ve been meaning to do a full update here. Turns out life with 3 kids and travelling can be very busy and the energy we have at the end of the day is usually used to raise a glass of wine to our lips and look out the window. 

If you've been following along our journey on Instagram and Facebook you likely have an idea of what our days look like. We have learned so much about ourselves, each other, and the do's and dont's of travelling with kids. We have filled our stomachs with the most delicious foods and our hearts and eyes with many delights this country has to offer.  

In one month we have....

• been to 4 cities 
• stayed in 5 apartments
• travelled on 5 trains 
• rode too many metros to count
• ate too many gelato's to count
• have taken too many photos to count 
• toured galleries with some of the most famous art we have studied 
• ​dealt with a tick infestation
• experienced international health care
• switched 2 month travel plans in less than 24 hours
• drank the best cappuccinos
• ate the best prosciutto, cheese and pesto 
• drank the most delicious Italian wine 
• ate pizza for breakfast...by choice
• have walked everywhere...only taking 4 car rides since leaving Canada

and there is still so much to see and do!

We are really looking forward to getting back into the studio and transferring some of these beauties on panels for our Italian series, but for now we are enjoying them as photographs and hope you do too!

After the tick infestation at the apartment in Lucca last week, we decided to pack up and head to Florence. It was a whirlwind adventure that we hope to never have to go through again, but we are happy to be on the other side of it. We have been in Florence just a few days and are absolutely loving it! There is so much to see and do here that our month in this beautiful city will likely fly by! We will be sure to keep you posted on Instagram and Facebook and post some more photos of this lovely place soon.
